About Michael
Michael Hiner (MSWW)
Managing Director, Asset Protection Specialist
Specialisms: Estate Planning
Having worked in financial services for over a two decade as a Mortgage and Protection Advisor, in 2007 I took the decision to become self-employed and make my own destiny in the world of mortgages. After a spell as a broker for a local company, I decided to branch out and set up a limited company specialising in mortgages.
After a successful few years in the mortgage market, it became apparent to me that people spent so long saving for their long-awaited homes and the majority protected these with life assurance against death or critical illness but the conversation ended more or less at that point. This didn't sit comfortably with me and I wanted to ensure people's homes, life savings, and chattels were fully protected for future generations to come.
Having spent many years saving for a home, decorating it, lovingly filling it with furniture and items of their choice, potentially welcoming a family, and saving towards the golden years of retirement, it became apparent to me that not enough was being done by myself or other advisers to protect this wealth, however big or small for the futures generations to come.
In 2012 I started offering Estate Planning services and Will writing services through my association with CTT Group, to provide expertise on estate planning. CTT Group were my chosen association as they are regarded as the industry leader in Estate Planning and Asset Protection as well as being a trust corporation.
They are an established company encompassing all the attributes I hold as an adviser.
Having now worked with CTT Group for over a decade I have built an established and highly regarded business providing expert advice/recommendations to clients supporting their future plans for generations to come in all areas of estate planning and Asset Protection.
I also speak about estate planning and assets protection strategies on the (PIN) Property Investor Network Circuit and have spoken at several other events including the Ultimate Investor Conference. I also have a very large following on social media, especially TikTok and Facebook where I am known as the @theassetprotectionguy which is the social face of the business. @theassetprotectionguy
Contact me today for an initial Zoom call about your estate planning. London, Wiltshire, and the home counties are the main areas where we work but can work with clients all over the UK including Scotland and Northern Ireland, so please do get in touch.
Please click the link below to watch this recent episode of the Business Success Show where I was interviewed by Mac Attram on all things Estate Planning and Asset Protection.
The initial Zoom call gives an opportunity to discuss your situation and your objectives. It also allows us to see how we can best help you.
The discovery meeting is all about you. We will take the time to listen to your personal, family, and business situations to get a better understanding of your specific estate planning requirements. We will ask you questions to better understand what is really important to you, as well as fully understanding the legacy you wish to leave.
Finally, we will explain the services of Strategic Asset Protection and show you how we can help you and what the next steps will be.
Please get in touch with our estate planners now to arrange an initial call.
Following your Discovery Meeting, we will prepare your recommendation report which sets out our recommendations, scope of work, timescales, and the legal fees you will pay for our services.
Once we have your agreement, we will put your plans into motion for you. We take care of all of the administration and keep you updated regularly throughout the document drafting process. Order summaries of your estate planning will be sent to you for your review and once you have approved, the final documentation will be prepared, reviewed, and legally approved. We will then be in contact to arrange the Signing Meeting and provide further guidance.
So that legal documents are valid they need to be signed and dated correctly. At the signing meeting you will need two independent witnesses present to witness the signing of the wills and once signed to documents will be legally effective.
After the signing, we will provide an execution statement giving the full names and addresses of the witnesses as proof that the wills were executed correctly and legally.
Once all the documents have been signed they will be professionally stored for safekeeping. Storage certificates will be provided to ensure everyone is clear about where the documents are stored.
Once the process has been completed it is very important that the documents are updated as events happen. Regular reviews are important to make sure the planning stays up to date. We will communicate with you from time to time to ensure your planning is up to date.
